The Problem

  • The vast majority of churches today do not  teach Bible prophecy.
  • We are just one generation away from
  • the world being without a voice for an accurate view of Bible prophecy.
  • · 20-30% of the Bible is prophecy.
  • · There is an eternal reward for those who study prophecy.—Rev. 1:3
  • · There are over 1000 prophecies in the Bible. 500 have been fulfilled and we can be sure the other 500 will also be fulfilled.
  • · Knowing Christ may return at any moment encourages us to live like any moment counts.s here.

Dr. Don Holsinger

My background

After retiring from the U.S. Navy in 1986, I had a varied business career as a training consultant, Human Resources Director, Quality Assurance Director and various positions in logistics and distribution. Finally, the last ten years of my career I served on staff with Union University and Southern Illinois University.

I received a B.S. degree in Management. from Southern Illinois University, an MBA from Union University and an M.A. and a PhD in Biblical Studies with a concentration in Prophecy from Louisiana Baptist University. I am able to speak as a layman in a clear way so that other lay church members are able to gain a clear understanding of this difficult subject..

Upon first developing an interest in the study of end- time prophecy, it soon became apparent that

I had very little knowledge in this area. This was quite surprising to me as I thought I had a better-than- average grasp on theological issues. I also thought myself to be an intelligent individual

having received a degree in Management, and an MBA from a Christian university. and having served on a church staff for several years as a youth director. I had taught Sunday School for more than thirty years, served on many church committees, been ordained as a deacon and had

listened to hundreds of sermons, yet I found that I was very deficient in my knowledge and understanding of end-time prophecy. As I looked back on these years that I had spent in church, I realized that this was a subject that I had heard very little about. If I had an immature knowledge of Biblical prophecy, what about the many other typical church members of today?

Prophecy is being fulfilled today and as we hear reports of what is happening in the Mid-East as well as what is beginning to happen here in the United States, people are becoming concerned, worried and even afraid.

God is in control and has a plan for us and his Word tells us exactly what will happen.

Today's Culture

Look at what is happening today: Earthquakes... Terrorist attacks... Floods... Violence and threats in the Mid-East.... Political corruption.

People are wondering if we are nearing the end-time.  It however is not taught or even preached often for various reasons. Yes it is can be hard to underatand, but prophecy makes up almost 30% of scripture. Instead of ignoring almost 1/3 of the Bible, it needs to be taught.  Because of whay is happening in the world, people are curious and want to know about prophecy.   As a layperson I can relate to the typical church member or Sunday School teacher and speak from  their point of view.

My involvement

The goal of this ministry is to assist church members to come to a clear understanding of Biblical prophecy and be able to look at the events of today through a Biblical, prophetic worldview.

Teaching will normally be presented in sessions of 45—50 minutes each. The first two sessions are designed to provide an introduction and basic foundation for understanding prophecy.

An ideal program would be Sunday morning and Sunday evening for the two introductory sessions followed by one to three sessions on subsequent evenings for a deeper understanding of prophecy. We will be glad to work with individual churches to create a custom program for you.

We discuss all end-time views, but teach from a pre-trib. pre-millennial point of view.
